    Any student applying to an IFSA-Butler program can apply for our general scholarship awards, which are $500 for a summer program, $1,500 for semester study, and $2,000 for the full year. Jefferson - East Falls Students students who are interested in this program must first submit their study abroad application online to the Study Away Office and be admitted in order to participate and earn credit through IFSA-Butler. Students should begin their online application with IFSA Butler.

Location Housing: Students typically are based at the Gold Coast Campus and have the choice of two housing options that are both furnished apartments without meal plans.
University Village is located near campus and houses international students. Surfers Paradise is located near town center and beach and near where local Australian students reside.

Academics: Students enroll in a maximum of 4 courses and should select 4 alternates in case top preferences are not available.
Important: Academic calendars are very different in Australia.
Semester 1 is our Spring semester (recommended) and runs from February-June.
Semester 2 is our Fall Semester and runs July - November

Strongly recommended: Students have the opportunity to enroll in the Engage program, with a course designed to explore Australian society and culture through student activities. The course has been approved for GDIV, GCIT, and ISEM credit.
