New York Fashion Immersion Program Description for Application

APPLICATION DEADLINE: FEBRUARY 26, 2016
 
FALL 2016

NY Fashion Immersion course is an exciting program for sophomores studying Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising and Management at PhilaU.  Students who are accepted into this program will get an up close look at the fashion scene in NYC while earning 6 elective credits.

The course will take place during the Fall semester, 2016.  Accompanied by PhilaU faculty, students will spend time in New York City during the semester visiting companies/organizations that span the entire value chain including design concepts, product development, production, merchandising, marketing and customer satisfaction.  Students will also experience the excitement of Fashion Week in NYC .  During the time the students are on campus, they will participate in a major Nexus Learning project that will involve utilizing the experiences they gain from their visits to fashion companies/organizations.

The cost of the course is $2,000 which includes bus fares to/from NYC, Fashion Week hotel stay, entrance fees for fashion shows, tours, exhibitions and a group dinner.

A $250 commitment deposit is due upon acceptance into the program, and the balance will be placed on the accepted student’s fall 2016 University invoice as an additional fee to be paid alongside general tuition and room and board (etc.) for the semester.
