Program Description:
Destinations: China ( Shanghai, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Shenzhen, Hong Kong)

Costs:
Program Fee:
$3,800. This fee includes all transportation and hotels, all breakfasts, all educational excursions, and two group dinners.  Students are responsible for lunches, most dinners, and all personal incidentals and souvenirs.
Tuition: Graduate students must pay tuition in addition to Program Fee.
Undergraduates also pay tuition for the 3 credits; however, these credits count as part of the fixed-rate tuition fee charged to undergraduates.  As such, undergraduates typically pay no extra tuition when they remain under 18.5 credit hours for the Spring 2018 semester.  If enrolling in this course pushes a student over 18.5 credit hours for Spring 2018, then students are charged extra tuition.

Dates: March 7-17 2018

Description: This course exposes students to the fashion ecosystems through an international study tour, coupled with classroom and experiential instructions. Students will visit design houses, mills, apparel factories & retail locations in China, identifying best practices in merchandising & supply chain management within these organizations. Students will gain knowledge of product development, marketing, lean manufacturing, quality assessment, and customer service.Students will acquire global competencies and the opportunity to hone their career aspirations; expand their professional networks through informational interviews with global fashion executives and hiring managers.

Deposit: A $250 deposit is required during the application process (instructions for payment are provided in the application process).  Failure to pay your deposit on time will mean that your application is incomplete and will not be considered for admission to the program.


It is offered as a Graduate course as GFE 793.
It is also offered as an Undergraduate course (Professor Nioka Wyatt) as FMM 308.
